Background: Susan studied at Fife College 13 years ago. As she gained great experience in three other salons in the area, she trained in a range of different treatments, techniques and products. In March 2004 Absolute was born and the business has developed from strength to strength. Over the years the range of treatments have grown and spread to include high-tech beauty procedures and minor cosmetic treatments.

Specialist Treatments: Being a qualified and experienced beauty therapist allows Susan to understand the ever changing needs of clients, making Absolute an evolving combination of treatments and products aimed at targeting what our clients want and need. She enjoys Ellipse Intense Pulsed Light, Crystal clear and Dermalogica facials and loves waxing particularly eyebrows because of the difference it can make.

Personal Statement: She is exceptionally passionate about her work and never stops thinking about how to improve the services offered. "I love the happy atmopshere and working with such a great bunch of girls. In my spare time I love spending time with my friends, family and my gorgeous wee girl, Sophia."

Background: Arlene studied at Edinburgh's Telford College. She joined the team at Absolute in 2008, after eight years salon experience. She was thrilled when she was successful in securing a position here. Arlene enjoys every aspect of her job and loves that each day is varied. Her calm and professional manner makes her an excellent manager and she is popular with staff and clients alike.

Specialist Treatments: Arlene has spent a lot of time attending various classes at the Dermalogica Dermal Institute, where she has been trained and educated with one of the best skin care companies in the industry. She also enjoys Electrolysis having been a finalist in Electrolysis Scottish Student Of The Year whilst training at Telford.

Personal Statement: "I love being part of the Absolute team. I was ready for a change and enjoy my new role. All the girls are great and the business is continuing to be a busy salon - there is never a dull moment. I would like to thank all clients for making my time at Absolute an enjoyable one."

Background: Nayla studied at Edinburgh’s Telford College four years ago. After graduating she worked in the Spa on a cruise ship. This took her around the Caribbean and Europe where she gained great experience. On returning Nayla joined the Absolute team as a full time therapist and has been with since 2007. Since starting at Absolute Nayla has returned to University so now works part time to fit around her studies.

Specialist Treatments: Nayla enjoys a variety of treatments including Brazilian/Hollywood waxing, Swedish massage and Dermalogica facials.

Personal Statement: "In my spare time, when I’m not studying, I enjoy socialising with friends and hitting the shops! I also enjoy nights out with the girls from the shop which are never uneventful!"

Background: Frederique has been working full time as our resident nail technician since the opening of our salon in March 2004.

Specialist Treatments: Frederique specialises in gel nail extensions and manicures. What Fred can do with nails is amazing!

Personal Statement: Frederique enjoys keeping fit, going on holidays and socialising with friends. "I really enjoy working at Absolute and just love the interaction with all the different clients. I love the ambience in the salon."

Background: Lisa trained for three years at Aberdeen College, gaining a merit in Aromatherapy before working in Beauty Thru Herbs for two years. She relocated to Dunfermline in 2004 and was excited to be offered a position in Absolute a couple of months after the salon opened.

Specialist Treatments: Lisa specialises in waxing, facials, Crystal Clear treatments and universal contour wraps - they really do work, the results are amazing!!

Personal Statement: "I keep fit by power walking and gardening, I enjoy listening to music, cooking, eating out and socialising with friends. I love the variety of my job! Every day is different, it’s always nice welcoming new clients to the salon and I love having a catch up with our regular clients too. I’ve worked with most of the girls now for 5 years, I think we are a good team which shows in the welcoming atmosphere at the salon."

Background: Gillian has been a part of Absolute since 2008, working part-time as a receptionist and helping out with treatments when the girls are on holiday. Gillian has been a therapist for 17 years, and although she still enjoys the atmosphere of a salon environment, she is changing career path and studying photography at college.

Specialist Treatments: When you telephone or visit Absolute, Gillian can guide you through every aspect of our products and services, as well as arrange your appointments for you. Gillian’s organisational skills make it simple to arrange a singular appointment or a complex course of treatments.

Personal Statement: Gillian enjoys going to the gym, cycling, hill walking, cooking, camping, eating out and socialising with her friends. "I love the vibe that’s created in the salon. It’s one of the best salons I’ve worked in my whole career! We all get on so well, and the clients are all fabulous... some real characters!"

Background: Sharon has been part of Absolute since we opened in March 2004, after four years working in another local salon. She has been a wonderful asset to Absolute and is always on hand to help the girls. Sharon has a fabulous, warm personality and is extremely popular with the clients.

Sharon’s organisational skills make it simple to arrange a singular appointment or a complex course of treatments. Sharon will also help organise hen evenings or wedding day preparations.

Personal Statement: "In my spare time I like to go to spinning classes. I also like socialising with my friends and spending time with my family."

Background: Nadine has been a part of Absolute since 2008, working in the evenings on reception. She was offered a position at Absolute after completing work experience as part of her course.

Specialist Treatments: Nadine is on hand to advise and book client’s appointments on our two late evenings. She is interested in all aspects of beauty therapy and working here has gained her confidence and knowledge of the industry.

Personal Statement: In her spare time Nadine likes shopping and spending time with her boyfriend. "I love working at Absolute because I enjoy meeting new people and the girls are really nice."

Helena offers a dedicated Medical Aesthetic service providing: BOTOX, DERMAL FILLERS, RADIESSE, SCULPTRA, MEDICAL GRADE CHEMICAL PEELS, MESOTHERAPY and MESOLIFT.

All treatments are safe, scientifically researched and proven. We undertake rigorous procedures to ensure that all medical issues are taken into full consideration prior to treatment. A full medical history is taken to ensure no contraindication is overlooked, adhering to safe and ethical practice. Client satisfaction is paramount to the success of skintalks.

Clinics are held on a monthly basis within Absolute.
